Muse is Meta’s personal AI agent, available on iOS, Android, the web, and WhatsApp. It connects to services three ways: built-in connectors, API credentials you provide for any service with a public API, and a browser running on its Secure VM. Muse does not list MCP servers among those, so it works with Bland through the REST API rather than the MCP endpoint. The result is the same: Muse can place calls, send texts, and read the results. There are two ways to connect, depending on whether you already have a Bland account. Setting up a different assistant? See Personal AI Agents.

Prerequisites

  • Muse on your phone, the web, or WhatsApp
  • A payment card for the Agent Phone Plan ($29.99/month, includes a US phone number)

Option 1: You have a Bland API key

Muse supports custom API connectors. Ask Muse to connect Bland, then enter your API key from the dashboard through its secure credential prompt:
Then ask it to make a call:
To give Muse its own number, so it can receive calls and send texts, subscribe to the Agent Phone Plan at Billing & Plans. The plan provisions a US number within a few seconds. Ask “what’s my Bland phone number?” and Muse reads it from your account and uses it from then on.

Option 2: Let Muse set itself up

This optional workflow requires Muse to make HTTP requests, poll for approval, and save the returned key as a Bland credential. If those capabilities are unavailable, create your Bland account in the dashboard and use Option 1. Otherwise, tell Muse:
If Muse starts the device flow, it shows you a link and a short code. Open the link, sign up or sign in, subscribe to the Agent Phone Plan, and approve the request. After Muse retrieves the API key and phone number, confirm that it saved the credential and completed the API connection before asking it to call or text. The key is scoped to a new organization that belongs to you. Revoke it any time from Settings > API Keys.

What Muse can do

On the Agent Phone Plan, calls and texts are limited to US and Canadian numbers, one call at a time, up to 60 minutes per outbound call, and up to 100 texts a day. See Limits.
Muse follows your approval settings. Permissions can persist for a task, a site, or future actions. If you want confirmation before calls, texts, or spending, configure those actions to require approval.
